Farming is a major part of the game with a variety of uses:
- Create a consistent and reliable source of food
- Sell your crops in town for gold
- Grow useful resources for crafting, such as olives for oil
- Some cosmetic upgrades require farming items
To get started, build a garden bed to grow your crops in. In order for the crops to grow the garden bed must be watered. At the early stage you can do this with a watering can. It is a good idea to build next to a source of water as you will need to refill the can between uses. As you progress, your farm will get bigger and you can automate the watering of crops.

Seeds[]
In order to plant a crop you will first need the associated Seeds. These can be acquired in multiple ways:
- Cutting down wild plants have a small chance of dropping seeds as well
- Steph the Florist in Bridgewater Town, Martinel the Merchant in Emei Town, Gerald in Taragon Town, and Edwardo the Merchant in Shavar Town all sell Seeds in town
- Harvesting ripe crops returns seeds
Automation[]
Start by building a Water Tower. You can fill the tower with your can. It will then distribute the water on the garden beds. If you want to automate the refilling of the Water Tower, you need a Windwheel and a Water Pump.

You can always check the status in the Water Tower, if there is something missing to automate your farm.
The appearance of your Water Tower (wood, stone, ornate, pagoda) does not influence the function of it. It's only for decoration. Upgrading it will enable the Water Tower to service more Frame Farms.
