Fishing

Fishing grants you the ability to cast for, collect, and cook various fish species that can be found across different corners of the world. Once cooked in a fireplace, you can eat the fish to gain health and sustain your character for long periods of time. Fish can also be used in a variety of high quality Cooking recipes. Selling raw fish is also a great way to make money in Len's Island. Raw fish can be sold to Kevin the Fisherman in Bridgewater Town and Martinel in Emei Town.

Fishing Rod

In order to fish you must purchase a Fishing Pole from Kevin the Fisherman in Bridgewater Town. Once purchased, the fishing rod can be equipped to the hotbar and used as any other tool or weapon. Note: A Golden Fishing Rod can be obtained by finishing the fishing Quests shown in the Compendium. This Rod can be Enchanted with Profishiency allowing players to retrieve 2 fish per catch.

How to Fish

Line up, and click to cast your line into a river, pond or the ocean. When you see the float pulled, click to start a reaction-based mini-game and score a series of critical hits to ensure you reel in your catch. When a gold circle appears click the mouse to reel in. When a red circle appears, do not click or your line will snap and the fish will escape.

Where to Fish

If you fish in open water, you will mostly catch smaller fish, Clay or Salvaged Metal. Finding a fishing pool and casting your line in the middle gives you a better chance of finding higher quality fish. All species of fish have their own specific biomes where they can be found; some biomes include the cave pools, arctic ocean, freshwater pools and beaches. Fishing in fishing pools in a variety of locations will garner a greater selection of fish.
